Within the framework of the UNESCO Subcomponent 1.1 on “Management of Coastal Aquifer and Groundwater” of the GEF funded UNEP/MAP “Strategic Partnership for the Mediterranean Sea large Marine Ecosystem” and under the UNESCO Division of Water Sciences, and immediate supervision of the “Groundwater Systems” Section, and in accordance to the Contract of February 2015  between the UNESCO and the UNESCO CHAIR/INWEB at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece,  UNESCO CHAIR/INWEB successfully developed a Geo referenced information system for coastal wetlands in the Mediterranean.

 

Although the Geo-referenced information system for coastal wetlands in the Mediterranean basin is fully developed and operational, for the moment is accessibly only by authorized users till its final ratification by the project partnership focal points.
