GEF Transboundary Waters Assessment Programme (TWAP) Inception Meeting, Perugia, Italy, 14-15 May 2013 PDF Print E-mail
The  TWAP  Groundwater  Component  Inception  Meeting,  hosted  by  the  World  Water  Assessment  Programme  (WWAP),  took  place  on  14‐15  May  2013  at  the  WWAP  facilities  in  Perugia,  Italy.  Participants  who  attended  the  meeting  came  from  a  wide  variety  of  regional  and  international  institutions  and  organisations,  research  institutes  and  academia.     
The main objectives of the Inception Meeting were to:  
• familiarise  all  participants  with  the  objectives,  outputs  and  execution  modalities  of  the  GEF  TWAP  component  on  Transboundary  Aquifers  and  SIDS  groundwater  systems;  
• clarify  the  roles  and  responsibilities  of  each  project  partner,  the  project’s  organizational  structure  and  lines  of  communication;  and  
• decide on  the  next  steps  and  project  milestones.
